Midlands Young Umpires Doing a Sterling Job!
The Midlands finals of the In2Hockey U12s took place at Nottingham Hockey Centre on Sunday 26th April.
The tournament was umpired by 17 Young Umpires who did a remarkable job. Each of the umpires was given feedback by the group of Umpire Coaches during the day.
When asked what they had learned during the day one umpire replied..."Yes, I improved my whistle-blowing, for example how long and how loud to blow it depending on the situation. I also improved on my signal for long corners, and I also improved on my confidence. I personally think I am now more confident in my decision-making."
A big thank you to all the Umpires and Coaches!
