A Fantastic Day for The Jo Nightingale Legacy Festival!

The inaugural hockey event, held on Tuesday 18th June 2024 and run by The Jo Nightingale Legacy Festival Group, was a huge success, delivering an amazing day of hockey for everyone attending.  The day held in memory of Jo Nightingale, who spent many years devoting her life to youth sport and coaching hockey at the highest level, marks the start of an annual event.

A huge thank you to all of the schools and teachers for their hard work, and to Fliss Dale, Sukhdev Gill, Andrew Porter, Chris Roberts, Peter Westbrook, Elaina Leithead, David Willenbruch, Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club, Wolverhampton & Tettenhall Hockey Club, Lichfield Hockey Club, Barford Tigers Hockey Club and Finchfield Hockey Club for giving their free time up to coach the children and ensure they had a really positive experience.

Additionally thank you to those who donated to our Just Giving Page and those who contributed to Joโ€™s funeral collection, which was kindly donated to The Jo Nightingale Legacy Festival Group by Joโ€™s family.

Gratitude also goes to Sally Walton for making a guest appearance and making each and every child smile from ear to ear (as well as the teachers).    And a special thank you to the Lord Taveners for their incredible donation of hockey equipment, and Joanna Toon for making the event possible with your overwhelming kindness in sponsorship for the event๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
