If you believe that a person, group of persons or a club or association has breached England Hockey’s Code of Ethics and Behaviour (RESPECT) (and that is not already covered by separate Anti-Doping, Safeguarding and Protecting Young People or Red Card and Match Day Misconduct regulations), then you can file a disrepute complaint.
This can be done by filling out a Disrepute Incident Form.
The regulations and forms governing disrepute complaints can be found here Disrepute Complaints | England Hockey
-
The form, found on the England Hockey website, can be used to report isolated incidents or a series of actions that have brought hockey into disrepute.
Once completed, the form will need to be sent to the Disrepute Complaints inbox disrepute@englandhockey.co.uk where it will be processed.
If you are unsure of whether your complaint falls under the Disrepute Complaint Regulations, please consult the flow diagram below.

You must use the up to date regulations and forms when reporting an alleged disrepute offence. You can find these on the England Hockey website here Disrepute Complaints | England Hockey
Please note that your complaint may be rejected if you don’t follow the correct procedure.
-
If you are sending a disrepute complaint on behalf of yourself, your form will need to be endorsed by an England Hockey affiliated body. This can be a senior member of your club, hockey association or umpire’s association. This is done in order to show that your disrepute complaint is being supported by a body affiliated to England Hockey. Any disrepute form without this will not be processed until the endorsement is received.
Disrepute Incident Forms must be completed and sent to the Disrepute Complaints inbox within 14 days of the alleged disrepute offence taking place. If the complaint is regarding a series of actions, the date of the last action must have taken place within 14 days of the form being sent. Any forms received after this time will not be processed unless it is decided by England Hockey’s Disrepute Complaints Panel that there are exceptional circumstances that justify considering the complaint.
The Disrepute Incident Form should provide as much information as possible relating to the alleged disrepute offence. Wherever possible, the complaint should be supported with signed and dated statements of any witness and all evidence which is relied upon in support of the complaint.
Once the complaint has been received, you may be required to provide further clarification of the issues raised within it.Your complaint will be sent to the alleged offender usually via their club or other member body.
Once a response has been received you may be asked to comment upon this if this is deemed necessary by the disciplinary panel that will consider the complaint. Most complaints are dealt with based upon the written evidence provided but if the disciplinary panel determines that a hearing is necessary to make a decision, you and your witnesses will be asked to attend to present and support your complaint.
